process for those who want quick answers or smooth rides. Be aware and be informed! Monika McGillicuddy wrote and excellent article about the possible Pitfalls of Buying a Bank Owned Property. She says “foreclosed home or short sale can be a fantastic opportunity to own a home at a greatly discounted price but please don’t go it alone. Representing yourself sometimes can be a costly mistake.”
She also shared how they “closed on a bank owned home recently, after some investigation we were able to track down a former owners property disclosure of the property and while it was from a former owner and held no legal weight it still gave us a glimpse at some information we would otherwise have never known.
Don’t expect the listing agent to do that for you. They won’t. Can you expect a buyer agent to try and track that information down? Yes… but realize that sometimes it’s simply not to be found. But a good buyer agent will make every effort to help the client make the right decisions.”

National Association of Realtors reports that in this market, our Tampa Bay economy is adding jobs, mortgage rates remain in our favor, our second home market is healthy, our location near the beach continues to be attractive, and further production cuts in new home construction should lower supply all of which should lead to an increase in home prices and lower inventory in 2008. Clearwater Florida Family Get’s Their Pool Home before Year Ends
Clearwater Florida – Well it’s hard to believe 2007 is over…so what did we do on the last business day of 2007 – we helped a Clearwater family realized their dream of buying their new Clearwater Pool Home and then we all got to celebrate! What a great way to end 2007!!
We have written before that we don’t do “real estate closings” – we do “real estate celebrations” because we don’t see the people and families we meet buying and selling homes and condos in Clearwater as being finished at the end of a real estate transaction. We see them as friends and we this as a happy time that signifies the beginning of a life long relationship.
Here’s what Chris and Dave, Clearwater home buyers, had to say about their Clearwater pool home buying experience and what it was like working with us. We are pleased to know that even though they had bought several homes over the years they felt like this “was their best experience ever”. Chris and Dave also gave Jack compliments for being such a great advocate for them. I have to tell you he does an amazing job for our clients – I have to give him kudos too!! Great job hon!!
